Precautions for safer participation in church services

We are taking a number of precautions to enable safer participation in church services, for those who wish to attend in person - please note this page will be updated as these arrangements are kept under review

  • We ask anyone who has covid or covid symptoms should not to attend the Church premises
  • Those attending will be strongly recommended to use hand-sanitizer as they enter.
  • Following the lifting of earlier restrictions, the Premises Opening Team and the Elders are now encouraging that face coverings are worn while singing by those (aged 11 years or over) (unless individuals were previously exempt when restrictions were in place).  At all other times the wearing of coverings will be at the individuals discretion.
  • Doors and windows will be open for ventilation unless the weather genuinely makes this impossible. Please dress accordingly.
  • No Church Bibles will be available – you may wish to bring your own – and verses will be displayed on the screen.
  • Those wishing to give their offering may do so using a basket available as the service ends.
  • Communion elements will not be handed around but served on plates for people to take,
  • There will be a choice of exits through which people can leave
  • Risk assessments are undertaken and kept under review for each service and event - therefore in some instances you may find some different arrangements in place based on the risk assessment undertaken.

Note that most of these precautions are in the form of requests - we ask people therefore to be mindful not just of our personal choices, but of their impact on others.
