I have been the Safeguarding Trustee at Didcot Baptist Church since July 2022 and as such I am a Deacon within the church leadership team. There is a small, dedicated team of people who help to ensuring that Didcot Baptist Church is a safe place for Children and Adults at risk and are the first port of contact for reporting any concerns or queries. Every year we have a Sunday service dedicated safeguarding to help promote and remind the congregation who we are and why safeguarding is important for everyone to be aware of.
I am a registered Paramedic and still work within the NHS although now adays I can be found in Townlands Hospital in Henley rather than on the ambulances, working in an ambulatory care unit to help treat people in the community rather than having to go to one of the acute hospitals.
I grew up in Didcot and my family has been here since my Great grandparents came here in the 1930’s after my Great grandfather left the army and came back to the UK from India. My family has been associated with Didcot Baptist Church since its inception. I have been attending on and off most of my life but finally got baptised and became a member in 2015.
I am single but lead a full and busy life when I am not working, I play Clarinet in a Concert Band, I am also a Brownie leader and I help provide medical cover at Oxford United FC.
